I'm Michele.​ I love to talk about history, languages, books and media. 

 

I am a Lecturer in Italian Language at University of Oxford. I completed my MA in History, Archival Studies and Librarianship in Italy (Genova). Then I taught Italian and English in the United Kingdom, Australia, Honduras and Spain. During my Ph.D. (University of Birmingham), I researched how English people learned the Italian language during the Tudor period. Other areas of interests for my research are Utopic and dystopic literature and Ideas of progress and globalisation.

Here on Michele Piscitelli: Cultural Historian, Language Teacher and Storyteller, I'm keen to investigate how early modern culture is shaping the Present and the Future.
