Hey! Nice to meet you.
I'm Michele. I love to talk about history, languages, books and media.
I completed my BA in History and my MA in History, Archival Studies and Librarianship in Italy. Then I taught Italian and English in United Kingdom, Australia, Honduras and Spain. During my Ph.D. at the University of Birmingham I researched how English people learned Italian during the Tudor period. Other areas of interests for my research are 'Utopic and dystopic literature', 'Cristoforo Colombo and Amerigo Vespucci', 'Ideas of progress and globalisation', 'Renaissance art of memory and emblemata'.
Here on Michele Piscitelli: Cultural Historian, Language Teacher and Storyteller, I'm keen to investigate how early modern culture is shaping the Present and the Future.
